Public Invited to Showing of Paper Tigers Film

The public is invited to a free showing of the film, Paper Tigers, on Thursday, June 2 at the Cook Memorial Library in La Grande, OR. Doors open at 6 PM and the film starts at 6:30 PM.

"Paper Tigers" Film Showing

The film "Paper Tigers" about Walla Walla's alternative high school, Lincoln High School, will be shown at 6 PM at the Vert Auditorium in Pendleton. Admission is FREE.

Public Announcement for Literacy Grant in Morrow, Umatilla and Union County

Event Date: 

The Blue Mountain Early Learning HUB has Literacy Grant funds available to expand Ready! for Kindergarten in communities already offering the program. These funds can only be used as match funds for toolkits for the program. Agencies must show proof of current toolkit purchase before the funds will be matched.

The Blue Mountain Early Learning HUB has $5,866 available in Great Start funds and $6,007 available in Family Support funds. A Request for Assistance and an outline for program eligibility is available on the IMESD website or contact Ali VanHouten at with questions.
