ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:                 

This temporary position is currently funded on a 200 day contract. 

Any changes in contract days will be stipulated in each individual contract. Salary and benefits to be established by the IMESD Certified Association in accordance with negotiated agreement with the IMESD Board of Directors. Schedule and assignments to be established by Department Director.

Online Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination, development and implementation of the online learning programs (Kindergarten through college) in collaboration with Instructional Services staff and IMESD partners.

  • Assess needs of districts and students, in making appropriate recommendations on how to utilize InterMountain Online to deliver educational content.

  • Assist with technical support for teachers and teacher assistants involved with InterMountain Online.

  • Provide training in use of the online learning system to online learning teachers.

  • Assist with the implementation of developed online courses.

  • Provide support for teachers and students in the use of the online learning management

    system.

  • Assist in the implementation of revisions to current online course offerings.

  • Review and recommend policies and procedures related to online learning course delivery.

  • Communicate policies and procedures for virtual options to school and District staff.

  • Communicate availability of necessary technical support for teachers, students, and parents.

  • Prepare and analyze reports/data including registration, completion rates, progress/grades and survey results.

  • Maintain student records, registration, records grades, monitors student and staff attendance and participation in online learning opportunities.

Instructional Coaching Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers with implementation of effective instructional strategies and online instructional materials.

  • Support teachers in finding ways to further differentiate curriculum, to meet

    the broad range of student needs.

  • Network frequently with other instructional coaches to share ideas and strategies

    that support teachers in their work.

  • Support school administrators in the use of school data to identify instructional

    strategies that will foster improvement in student achievement;

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the teacher/coach relationship when

    working with administrators and others in the profession.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Individual will hold valid driver’s license and have reliable, insured transportation for required travel throughout the InterMountain Education Service District region.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Current TSPC Teaching License

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    Individual may be required to travel on overnight assignments.
