This position will be based out of Irrigon High School

 

Provide individual and small group tutoring to students both online and in person at Irrigon Junior/Senior High School.  Assist students in improving academic achievement by providing additional support with school work.  This may include: reviewing class materials, discussing the text, predicting test questions, formulating ideas for assignments, working on solutions to problems.  Tutoring is a supplement to classroom teaching. 

-Contact individual students and families when not in full attendance.

-Provide motivating, timely, and constructive support for student assignments

-Communicate effectively with students at different technology skill levels to support instruction and advance educational goals

-Hold regularly scheduled offices hours via online meeting software and ensure that student unable to attend these sessions have access to support

-Respond to student inquires, questions, and requests for help within 24 hours during the weekday and the first workday back from a break

-Manage and communicate effectively via the telephone, email, and the message center

-Work with other staff and faculty in a cooperative, professional atmosphere

-Participate in faculty meetings, hardware, software and /or educational training sessions as scheduled

-Keep accurate, organized records

-demonstrate sufficient use of Internet and other technology programs
