IMESD Plans Student Technology Expo

The InterMountain Technology Department is organizing an exciting opportunity this spring for high school students interested in the technology field. STEP stands for Student Technology Expanded Programs. This event will be on April 27, 2016 at the Pendleton Convention Center and it’s FREE.

STEP is an event that will highlight different career paths and skills needed for careers in the technology sector. Students who attend will be introduced to regional businesses that have jobs in the technology field. Plus, there will be hands-on technical activities.

Any high school student in the IMESD’s service area is eligible to be nominated. The deadline was Friday, March 18, 2016, the nomination form is now closed.

The purpose of the STEP event is to increase awareness for high school students of computer technology career options and career pathways that lead to high wage/high demand careers. The STEP event will focus on sharing relevant work experience and providing information about regional businesses dependent on trained technical professionals.
