The IMESD is offering a workshop on April 12, 2019, to share some TOOLS to Work with Challenging Students. The FREE event is from 9 AM to 3PM at the Red Lion in Pendleton and lunch is provided. The workshop is for School Counselors, Special Education Teachers, Administrators and other Support Staff.
Nationally known speaker J. Stuart Ablon, Ph.D. is the presenter. Ablon is the director of Think: Kids in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. He trains parents, educators and clinicians, and helps organizations throughout the world implement the Collaborative Problem Solving approach. A dynamic and engaging speaker, Ablon was ranked #5 on the list of the world's top-rated keynote speakers in the academic arena.
Chris Bettineski, IMESD Director of School Psychology and Behavioral Services, said, "This event is a great opportunity for educators in our region to hear from Dr. Ablon and obtain some tools to assist them in the classroom."
