KidWind is excited to be bringing a workshop and a KidWind Challenge to Eastern, OR in 2018-19. Join us and learn how to explore the power of wind with your students. What is a KidWind Challenge?! Check out this video or the challenge website!
6th-9th grade teachers can attend this workshop to learn about the science and technology around wind turbines and blade design. The energy-based content combined with practical standards connected classroom activities will make it easy to bring renewable energy to your classroom. Then tour OIT to see their facilities and understand how they are helping students prepare for careers.

What can you expect?
This is a FREE Training!
LUNCH IS PROVIDED!
Materials are geared toward middle school and high school teachers. All teachers in attendance will receive a wind kit for their classroom, as well as lessons plans and prizes.
We will explore lessons around wind energy, wind turbines, blade design and wind farm siting.
Teachers do not need any prior knowledge of wind energy. They will learn about how wind power works and how to implement activities in your classroom.
Preservice teachers are also invited!
