This session will dive into data as a tool for instructional leaders. Effectively using data to inform instructional practices and direct building-level focus is a critical skill for a successful instructional leader. Data is also the best place to start in a conversation about equity and social-emotional growth in your buildings. This session will focus on using data to better understand your students and your building through asking more informed questions. We will examine the ODE released unsuppressed data, explore the Oregon Data Suite (ODS), local diagnostics (please bring any reports you'd like to review), and take time to make meaning and plan for the remainder of the year.
At the end of the session administrators will:
- have a draft data calendar that shows a monthly plan outlining who is analyzing what data, for what purpose, and where it will be shared
- define (or redefine) systems for analyzing and sharing data across district stakeholders
- understand Oregon Data Suite's (ODS) new SIA aligned dashboards
- have a shared understanding of how our regional schools and districts use data in their decision-making and instructional processes
