*******Cancelled********* Preschool/Elementary Consistency of Implementation: An Advanced Workshop on ABA & Evidence Based Strategies

Event Date

One Day Workshop: Implementing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) & Evidence-based Practices as used in the STAR Program (Arick, Loos, Falco and Krug, 2004) and Small Group Instructional Strategies.

Presented by: Oregon Program Autism Training Sites & Support Staff and Oregon Regional Programs

This workshop is designed for pre-school, elementary, or middle school staff currently implementing ABA & evidence-based practices using the STAR curriculum with students. Participants should have already attended a two day workshop on the STAR Program or have had extensive experience implementing the program. (For staff needing to attend a two-day workshop, please refer to our website www.orpats.org)

This one-day advanced workshop on ABA & implementing evidence-based practices as used in the STAR Program (Arick, Loos, Falco and Krug, 2015) will include a review of substantive improvements and updates to lesson plans, procedures, and forms. We will also summarize the results of recently published research on the effects of comprehensive treatment models (CTMs) for children with ASD.

Participants will also receive consistency of implementation training on the following ABA instructional strategies: teaching functional routines, pivotal response training, discrete trial training and the use of positive behavior intervention and supports as used in the STAR Program.  Initial and on-going assessment of student skills using the STAR Student Learning Profile will also be addressed.
