This webinar is the first in a series of four, aimed at supporting those who work with students experiencing Autism Spectrum Disorder in the regular classroom or the general school environment. It focuses on building a foundational understanding of these students’ unique thinking/learning style. Behavioral characteristics often associated with this condition are shared, along with an explanation of why these behaviors occur. Intended outcome is that webinar participants will be able to recognize and understand behavioral characteristics associated with the presence of ASD, leading to a better understanding of the importance of specific strategies and interventions which may be used for these students.
