The Oregon Legislature passed House Bill 2931 in 2015 to assess elevated radon in Oregon Schools.  HB 2931 later became known as Oregon Revised Statute 332.166-167 which requires radon testing in Oregon Schools on or before January 1, 2021.

The Intermountain Education Service District has collaborated with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Oregon Health Authority, Cascade Radon and Pendleton School District to organize training for school custodial and maintenance personnel who will be doing radon testing in Oregon Schools.

Training will be a full day, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with classroom instruction in the morning hours and hands-on testing at a Pendleton School in the afternoon.

Presenters for this training will include Radon experts from EPA, OHA, and Cascade Radon, Portland.  This will be a high-quality training opportunity that we hope you will take advantage of.
