Calling all K-12 Educators, Administrators and Staff!

 Please join us at a free, VIRTUAL professional development event on Tuesday, August 20th from 1-4 pm. During the Oregon Climate Educator Summit:

  • Hear students, educators and community partners from across the state address local issues and impacts of climate change;

  • Learn how climate education can foster interdisciplinary thinking, grow CTE and career-connected learning, and develop hope-inspired strategies for a thriving future in Oregon;

  • Walk away with free resources and practical tools for standards-aligned implementation of climate solutions and action in our classrooms, schools and beyond;

As an extension of the summit's learning, you can explore these credible professional development resources developed by SubjectToClimate and our partners:

Climate Change Explained

Climate Change Teaching Tips

Developing Climate Change Lessons

These free resources are always available to help you teach about climate change, provide PD hours, and an NEA micro-credential. We invite you to consider viewing the first course before the session to provide all participants with the same context about climate change in order to be better prepared to discuss local impacts.

We are grateful for the support of the Healy Foundation and the advisory role of Oregon Climate Education Thought Leaders Committee.  Please reach out with any questions to breck.foster@subjecttoclimate.org or Sarah Ruggiero at oregoneducatorsforclimateed@gmail.com
