February is teen Dating Violence Awareness Month: 4 Ways to get Involved

Each February, young people nationwide raise awareness about teen dating violence through Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM). This month-long push focuses on advocacy & education to stop dating abuse before it starts. Learn more about #TDVAM at loveisrespect.org.

Here are four ways you can join the movement:

  • Share posts, graphics and resources on your social media. Knowledge is power, and your posts may reach someone who needs it

  • Show support by wearing orange TODAY February 11th, and encourage others to do the same.

  • Start discussions with friends, family and peers about healthy relationships. The more we talk, the more we learn.

  • Use your creative talents to express the importance of healthy relationships (artwork, music, poetry)

Respect Week is February 10th- February 14th

  • Feb 10: Celebrate with a song that instantly lifts your vibe!

  • Feb 11: Wear Orange Day!

  • Feb 12: Show self-love by practicing self-care

  • Feb 13: Share how you protect your mental space

  • Feb 14: Use your words to honor the healthy love you deserve! Celebrate the love in your life that make you feel seen and respected.
