IMESD recently celebrated a longtime employee by presenting her with a 2022 Legacy Award. Roxanne Hanel, the agency's Audiologist, received her award at the annual Crystal Apple Awards event on May 9th in Pendleton.
Hanel has worked for IMESD for almost 34 years During her tenure, she has impacted almost every student who has attended any one of IMESD’s component school districts through the mass hearing screening program she operates. As one of the only pediatric audiologists in Eastern Oregon, Hanel has provided much-needed services to schools, students and families with the utmost skill and dedication. Her work, knowledge and experience of more than three decades is impossible to replace. It is difficult to imagine IMESD without Roxanne. She will be greatly missed!
