Getting back to school after the summer can be a difficult transition for students. Parents/guardians can help by having your child:
Get back into a regular bedtime and sleep schedule
Eat regular, healthy meals
Get regular physical exercise
Limit screen time
Talk about excitement or concerns about the upcoming school year
Encourage good attendance from the first day of school forward

A virtual training for school personnel about Oregon's new Transformative Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Standards is being offered by IMESD on Friday, September 6th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Dr. Fynn from the Oregon Department of Education is the facilitator.
This training is intended for Administrators, Counselors & Behavior Specialists.
